Big Brother Watching ???… Infrared Cameras Used to Detect Swine Flu

Flir has revealed how its infrared cameras can help detect the spread of swine flu and other viral diseases.
Several major airports in Asia discovered the benefit of infrared cameras in conjunction with the outbreak of SARS a couple of years ago.
They now use Flir infrared cameras to scan whether arriving travellers can be contaminated with the N1H1 virus – the correct name of the virus behind swine flu.
The infrared cameras used at the airports are specifically developed to detect individuals with high body temperatures in only a couple of seconds.
The cameras have been developed based on experience from previous flu outbreaks such as SARS and bird flu and are present in many airports in south-east Asia, where the presence and threat of bird flu was the highest.
The camera produces infrared images or heat pictures of a person’s face and detects whether the body temperature exceeds a certain value or not.
The infrared cameras are easy to use and have proven themselves as tools that can be operated by non-specialists after a few hours of training.
The camera needs no active monitoring as it has both colour and sound alarm functions, making staff aware of any passing individuals with a body temperature exceeding a predefined value.
On the camera display an infrared image of the individual’s face is produced, clearly marking different temperature areas as different colours.
The highest-temperature spot will be automatically displayed and measured with one decimal accuracy.
The infrared cameras from Flir are sensitive devices and measure temperature differences as small as 0.08C.
Ideally the camera is set up at places with long queues such as passport or customs control.
To achieve the correct temperature the camera should focus on the most reliable temperature spot on the body – the corner of the eyes.
Infrared cameras can play a vital role in the efforts of keeping the spread of swine flu or any other viral infection under control.

Amazing UFO Photo Snapped By Russian Children

Three children, Lyuda Kurenkova, Veronica Prudnikova and Pasha Arbekov, were playing in a field in the Russian village of Ilyinke in the early evening hours of the August 7 when they noticed a large and perfectly clear UFO pass overhead. The classic flying saucer shaped UFO cast a large shadow over the field and the girls began yelling to alert other villagers of the bizarre sight.
Meanwhile the UFO made a few circles of the village before heading to a nearby communications tower. As the UFO approached the tower its lights went out. It seemed as if the UFO was interfering with its electrical supply.
The children described the UFO as glowing and coloured both blue and red.
At one point one of the girls managed to snap a good photo (above) of the object. Other villagers, on hearing the girl’s screams, also came outside and saw the UFO.
The UFO then rose slowly before shooting up skywards at an incredible rate and vanishing. The sighting lasted less than one minute.
Experts have already interviewed the girls and declared the photo and sighting genuine.

What is Causing These Strange Waves?

The mystery over what’s sitting at the bottom of Sylvan Lake in Forest Lake has the attention of UFO investigators.
A Forest Lake woman claims she saw large waves rippling out in a swirling motion on the lake. She thought it seemed strange and called police. She told them she thought the churning water came from a helicopter.
“There was quite a stir for 5 to 7 minutes, with waves that went out 30 to 40 feet. Not up, but out,” said the woman’s neighbor Eugene Huerstel.
Since the woman’s account was credible according to police, Forest Lake firefighters and the Washington County Dive Team went into the lake to look for the unusual and suspicious object.
They used a pontoon and an airboat to search to a depth of 26 feet. Washington County Sheriffs Deputies used a side scan sonar. Police said they did not find any debris on the water and no petroleum film from a boat or plane wreck, which they initally suspected. But what took everyone by surprise was the investigator who showed up Friday.
“We received several reports on our website about the incident,” said Richard Lang from the Mutual UFO Network.
During a second water search, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office found an object, about the size of a washer or dryer. They plan to pull it out in the coming weeks, though no one could say, what it might be.
However, a UFO does not seem likely.
“Based on our findings, we don’t believe a UFO crashed into the lake,” said Lang.

VIDEO: Haunted and Possessed Dolls
I must admit I have always been a bit intrigued by the thought of haunted and possessed dolls or mannequins. It seems like a perfectly logical occurrence given that the spirit of a child would be attached and comfortable with their favorite doll and the spirit of an older soul would be attracted since it is the closest form they can find to a human body.
Whenever I go to Garage or Estates sales or to Thrift or Antique shops if I see an old doll I will usually stand by it for a while and concentrate the thought…if you wish to be seen move for me. To date I have only found a few that have moved and the cases were not significant enough for me to rule out normal causes.
I have posted below a few videos that have been posted by people who claim to own or have encountered dolls which defy the norm and also an account of the famous “Robert the Doll”. Enjoy.

Israel is in the grips of mermaid fever after numerous sightings of the mythical sea creature off its coast.
One town council is taking the reports so seriously it is offering a $1m (£609,000) reward to anyone who can prove the existence of a mermaid in its waters.
Kiryat Yam municipality, near Haifa, says it has been told of dozens of sightings in the past few months.
They say it is a female figure, it looks like a young girl.
”Many people are telling us they are sure they’ve seen a mermaid and they are all independent of each other,” council spokesman Natti Zilberman told Sky News.
The nautical nymph is only seen in the evening at sunset, according to media reports, drawing crowds of people with cameras hoping for a glimpse.
“People say it is half girl, half fish, jumping like a dolphin. It does all kinds of tricks then disappears,” Mr Zilberman said.
Asked whether a dolphin or large fish could be a more rational explanation, he insisted: “They say it is a female figure, it looks like a young girl.”
The council denied its offer of a reward was a publicity stunt, but said it hoped to nurture the mermaid as something which could bring in more tourists.
Capturing a mermaid is not necessary, a verifiable photograph will do, Mr Zilberman said.
Asked if the council can afford the payout, he told Sky News: “I believe, if there really is a mermaid, then so many people and tourists will come to Kiryat Yam, a lot more money will be made than a $1m.
