UFO Sightings On The Rise In Pennsylvania

DOYLESTOWN (CBS) ―  Residents in a Pennsylvania town have their eyes on the sky after a recent rash of UFO sightings.

Residents in a Bucks County town have their eyes on the sky after a recent rash of UFO sightings, reports CBS station KYW-TV.

Star watchers have their cameras trained on the air above Bucks County as a large number of residents have reported numerous strange lights and bizarre shapes hovering in the area.

Joseph Vigilante says he recently caught glimpse of a UFO above his Doylestown store, The Bagel Barrel.

“It looked most like a star except for the rapidly changing color to it and it was far brighter than any other star in the sky,” he said.

Vigilante is not alone. Last year, there were over 70 reported UFO sightings in Bucks County. Many witnesses captured photos and video of strange blinking lights high in the atmosphere.

Cynics and skeptics have their doubts about the sightings saying the lights are from a nearby Air Force base, but others are holding on to the thought of alien tourists.

“I’m not really qualified to make a judgment call, but I try to keep an open mind,” said Doylestown resident Vicky Azar.

The influx of strange lights in the skies of Bucks County has drawn the attention of UFO enthusiasts from around the country. Believers are gathering at Bucks County Community College on Saturday, January 24 for the annual UFO convention.

The festivities run from Noon to 5 p.m. and admission is $15.

U.S. Scholar suggests UFO sightings have occurred throughout Human History

There is much evidence that extraterrestrials visited ancient human civilizations and walked among the common citizenry. In many cases, these extraterrestrials were described as God-Kings and ruled for many centuries over their human subjects in ancient Egypt, Sumeria, India and other recorded civilizations.

These reports, widely dismissed by scholars as ancient myths, are given greater credence by modern reports of a similar phenomenon. Recent evidence points to extraterrestrials visiting and interacting with humanity over at least the least six decades.

Much of this evidence concerns sightings and recoveries of extraterrestrial vehicles; the reverse engineering of extraterrestrial technologies; physical interaction between extraterrestrials; and even secret agreements between major governments and extraterrestrial civilizations.

Arguably, the most closely guarded secret is that a significant number of extraterrestrial visitors have integrated themselves into human society with the knowledge and, in some cases, approval of national governments. My research has documented ancient and modern evidence of extraterrestrials living among humanity, covert government programs to monitor ‘resident’ extraterrestrials, and how secrecy is maintained.

35 UFO sightings in 2008 Across Indonesia

01/11/2009 · 1 Comment

The Jakarta Post, Jakarta

Throughout 2008 there were 35 alleged UFO (unidentified flying object) sightings in Indonesia, 15 of which were across Greater Jakarta, a UFO community reported during their 11th annual gathering in South Jakarta on the weekend.

“The latest sighting in Jakarta was in Pesanggrahan (South Jakarta) on Dec. 8, when a witness said he saw eight peculiar lights in the sky,” said Nur Agustinus, the founder of the BETA-UFO community, on Sunday.

He said the sighting may have been a UFO because earlier there had been another strange light pattern spotted in Cileduk.

Most reported cases of UFO activity normally involve glowing lights moving in a formation through the sky, occasionally in an irregular fashion, the community said.

Nur Agustinus said a UFO could be a flying object that had not yet been identified and did not necessarily mean it was a flying saucer or alien craft.

“For the last year we have begun more seriously investigating UFO sightings to collect and provide reliable information for the public,” Nur, also a psychologist, said.

The community collects information and testimonials from any witness claiming to have seen a UFO and cross checks the facts to avoid hoaxes.

“We conduct interviews with UFO witnesses and have IT specialists check the originality of photographs and videos to ensure authenticity,” Nur Agustinus said.

He said similar testimonials from unrelated witnesses, often making the same allegations and sightings from different locations, increased the veracity of claims about the presence of UFOs.

“My background as a psychologist also helps me recognize whether a witness is telling the truth or not,” he said, adding that it was up to the readers to believe it or not.

Wardono, who claims to have spotted a UFO in 1972, said when he was five years old he saw a mysterious flying object above his house which nobody could explain.

“I was sure it was some sort of a flying saucer,” he said, claiming to have also seen another UFO while traveling in Mexico.

Wardono said people used to mock him for believing aliens existed, even calling him an atheist at times.

Nur said there were members in the club who claimed to have been abducted by aliens and had implants placed inside their bodies.

Fan Fan Darmawan, a member from another UFO community named the Gray Race Foundation, said there was proof aliens exist.

“Mysterious crop circles in England, the pyramids of Egypt which were far more advanced than any technology at the time, reliable witness testimonials, could all serve as evidence,” he said.

He said governments internationally often covered up any evidence of the existence of aliens to prevent public panic, and rushed to obtain the information about alien technologies before other nations.

Despite being called “weirdoes” and atheists, the members of BETA-UFO really believe that aliens do exist.

With around 800 members on its mailing list across the country, consisting of people of many backgrounds from students to doctors and lawyers, the club has received thousands of reports of alleged UFO sightings. (fmb)

The USS Supply UFO Sighting

08/23/2008 · Leave a Comment

The USS Supply UFO Sighting

By J.M.Sinclair

On February 28, 1904 the US navy steam and sail schooner USS Supply was about 400 miles southwest of San Francisco. Several members of the crew sighted what they described as “Meteors”, for lack of a better term in 1904, that would form the basis for one of the most remarkable early sightings in UFO history. Collecting the accounts was Lt. Frank Schofield, who would later become an admiral and Commander-in-Chief of the US pacific Battle Fleet.

Schofield didn’t quite know what to make of the accounts, which described the red meteor-like craft flying in what’s known as the echelon formation. This formation involves aircraft flying in a diagonal arrangement side by side, a grouping that would be very unlikely for meteors. The red meteors initially appeared below the clouds, something that natural meteorites never do, and moved directly toward the ship. As they came closer, they moved above the clouds, until they seemed to stop moving north, and began moving directly away from the earth. Color alterations were noted in that the objects’ dull red color faded as they changed direction. The size of the largest object was described as being “an apparent area of about six suns”, and was egg shaped, traveling with the sharp end forward. The other’s were smaller, one being about twice the apparent size of the sun, and one about the same size as the sun. The clouds themselves were estimated to be about a mile high, so the craft would have been closer than that as they passed under and through the clouds.

The whole thing lasted a total of two minutes before the clouds obscured the objects, suggesting that the craft were moving very quickly. Schofield noted that all the accounts agreed during this early morning 6 am sighting. Schofield reported the incident in the March, 1904 issue of the Month Weather Review and the incident lay forgotten until later interest in the UFO phenomena developed.

Whatever these objects were, they were not meteors, as evidenced by their seeming ability to fly under, and then through the clouds, finally gaining altitude. The pointed end forward attitude of the egg shaped object is precisely the opposite of what would be expected from a meteor, and the red coloring is not normally one associated with meteors, which usually give off a blue-green or white light. Because of this, the case of the USS Supply remains one of the most interesting early UFO sightings, from a time when no aircraft existed that was capable of the maneuver seen by the ship’s crew.  Happening just a year after the Wright Brother’s flight, no aircraft would have been flying in echelon, which at the time was still a ground troop or ship formation, and the distance from any land eliminates the possibility of manmade aircraft. The sighting has a strangely modern feel to it, with egg-shaped craft being reported throughout the 20th century and to this day.

Whatever they were, the USS Supply UFOs are so early, and so strange that very little other than extra-terrestrial craft can explain just what they were. Further, the crew were from a time when there was no public interest in UFOs, and they would have had little motive to fake or misrepresent the incident. They simply saw what they saw, and described them as meteors, which would have been the closest thing in 1904 to the appearance of the objects. But they couldn’t have been meteors, and they couldn’t have been aircraft. Whatever they were, they’ weren’t from here.

Radar spotted UFOs near Crawford in January, group says

Radar spotted UFOs near Crawford in January, group says

By Matt Frazier

mfrazier@star-telegram.com

Star-Telegram.com

A national group that studies unidentified flying objects has issued a report that says Federal Aviation Administration radar appears to confirm the presence of unidentified aircraft over the Stephenville/Dublin area, with at least one apparently headed toward President Bush’s Crawford Ranch on the January night when dozens of witnesses reported UFOs.

The Mutual UFO Network report says radar indicates that several aircraft were found Jan. 8 in the same compass direction and time frame as cited by the witnesses, but were not military and did not have transponders, which relay information about the craft to radar operators.

The 77-page report was released on the MUFON Web site (www.mufon.com) late Thursday night.

The organization gathered data for its radar report by filing 10 Freedom of Information requests to the FAA, National Weather Service, all nearby military bases, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Services and the 21st and 30th Air Force Wing Commands.

FAA spokesman Roland Herwig said he was not familiar with the radar data and could not immediately comment on the report.

According to the report, one Crawford-bound craft was tracked by radar for more than an hour. Witnesses said they saw two large glowing amber lights similar in size and color to the lights on the back of a school bus.

The object seemed to be stationary or moving at speeds of less than 60 mph most of the time, but at one point accelerated to 532 miles per hour in 30 seconds, according to the report. But it did not seem to reach the property.

“The object was traveling to the southeast on a direct course towards the Crawford Ranch, also known as President Bush’s western White House,” the report sates. “The last time the object was seen on radar at 8 p.m., it was continuing on a direct path to Crawford Ranch and was only 10 miles away. During the entire episode of over an hour, there is no indication that any of the military jets reacted to this unknown craft.”

Dozens of people around Dublin and Stephenville — about 70 miles southwest of Fort Worth — say they saw flying objects on or around Jan. 8 that they could not identify and that did not move like conventional aircraft. Some witnesses said the objects were being accompanied or followed by military aircraft.

Descriptions vary. Some told of objects up to a mile long and hundreds of yards high. Others reported seeing two to eight lights that flew in formation, changed color and shined with intensity greater than a welding flame.

These sightings gained national and international attention because of the number and credibility of witnesses, including a county constable and a pilot. Many of the witnesses are familiar with aircraft because the military has a flight practice zone that ends just south of the sighting area.

The radar report seems to back witnesses stories, including that of Constable Lee Roy Gaitan, who said he saw an unknown object south of his home about four miles southwest of Dublin. He described it as two amber lights that were initially stationary that changed into about 10 white lights that departed at a high speed.

“Radar detects an object at 7:20 p.m. only 2.8 miles south southwest of the constable’s home and traveling in a southeastern direction,” the report states. “This matches very well with the time and direction of the constable’s sighting. At 7:36 p.m. radar shows the object suddenly veering to the north at 1,900 miles per hour and then returning a minute later to continue on its southeastern course.”

The authors of the report said they reached conclusions:

■ There was definitely a real and physical object that appeared and was witnessed.

■ The military did not act overtly to the presence of these objects.

■ Military air traffic was unusually heavy and twice veered into civilian airspace.

The Mutual UFO Network is a nationwide organization that studies unidentified flying objects. Its Texas chapter took statements from about 50 witnesses Jan. 19 and interviewed at least 70 more, gathering descriptions, sketches, pictures and videos.

The report is online at www.mufon.com.
